Chairman
Andrew Bradley is the owner and CEO of Fiscal Private Client Services, a wealth and investment management business. He was previously the CEO of Old Mutual Wealth, a wealth and investment company within the Old Mutual Group that is responsible for over R300bn in assets and more than R2bn in annual revenue. He was also Chairman of Acsis, an independent asset consulting and financial planning company, which he founded and Old Mutual acquired.
During his career he has also served as chairman on the boards of the South African Savings Institute (SASI), the Financial Planning Institute of South Africa (FPI) and the Cape Town Chapter of the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO), as well as board member of the Association of Collective Investments (ACI), the South African Rugby Players Association (SARPA), and the international Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) Council.
He currently serves on the boards of RDC Properties and the Nelson Mandela University (NMU) Business School. Andrew has a B.Com from NMU (1984), an LLB from the University of Natal (1986), an AMP from Harvard Business School (2011) and is a Certified Financial planner.

Nigel Bands joined Southsure Brokers in 1982 and took it over in the 1990’s. He matriculated from Grey High in 1968 and studied part-time through UNISA and obtained a B.Juris Law degree, plus was admitted as a Chartered Secretary [ACIS] whilst working for a variety of companies in PE, Durban, Bloemfontein and Johannesburg.
He married Louise Morgan, a PE girl in 1975 and have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. They have been resident in PE since 1982 and all 3 of their sons matriculated from Grey. One daughter went to DSG and the other to Collegiate. “I am passionate about my old school and want to give under privileged boys the opportunity to be educated at the two Grey schools. I sincerely believe that as old boys we need to put back into Grey more than we received and I have been fully supported in this by Louise, and also my children. Obviously rugby at Grey is important to me, but I am happy to obtain assistance for any deserving youngster no matter whether he is a top sportsman or just wants to improve himself and his future by coming to Grey.”[/column] [/grid]

Bryan Knox graduated from UCT with a Civil Engineering degree after completing his military training at Tempe, Bloemfontein. He co-founded the specialist construction company Blasting and Excavating in 1974, operating throughout Southern Africa, until his retirement from the Construction Industry in 2006.
“I had been a delinquent Old Grey until our 40th Reunion in 2006 when I decided I should put something back into the school which gave me my start in life”.
Bryan was National President of the Old Grey’s Union for 5 years having previously served on the OGU committee for 5 years. He became Chairman, and a Trustee of the Grey Foundation in 2016, and continues to remain on the Trust but handed over the Chairmanship to Andrew Bradley in 2019. Bryan and his wife Anne presently farm cattle and goats in the Bedford district of the Eastern Cape where Anne, being a farmer’s daughter, has assumed management of the farming operations. Bryan assists her with water, machinery and infrastructure maintenance while maintaining business interests in Port Elizabeth, as well as attending to Grey Foundation matters. Bryan and Anne have two sons. The eldest, Anthony (Rhodes Scholar and Oxford Blue) works in banking in Johannesburg, whilst Stuart, who studied Veld Management at Saasveld College, assists Anne with the farming operations.

Rory Stear chairs Flambard Capital, an international investment and consulting company with holdings in renewable energy, technology and data management and global trading. He is CEO of Blackwood Power, a full service energy company, providing affordable, financed access to renewable energy for landlords, homeowners and schools. He chairs Lifeline Technology, providing renewable powered radios and MP3 players to aid humanitarian organisations and is a director of Bastion and Flowe, a South African technology developer and digital marketer. He co-founded, was Chairman and CEO of celebrated wind up products developer, Freeplay Energy, from 1994 until its sale in 2008.
Stear is an internationally respected builder, leader and operator businesses, including private and public companies in the USA, UK, Africa and Asia. He is passionate about addressing energy poverty, access and efficiency in emerging markets and business addressing social issues.
Stear was BusinessWeek’s Entrepreneur of the Year, Time Magazine “Hero of the Environment” and a Time/Fortune/CNN “Principal Voice” on energy poverty. He served on the WEF Global Agenda Renewable Energy Council. He received the Theodor Herzl Award from the Jerusalem Fund in recognition of his entrepreneurial success.
Stear travelled with SA Presidents Nelson Mandela and Jacob Zuma on four state visits. He is Knight of the Order of St John of Jerusalem, is a frequent public speaker, including at the WEF in Davos and Commonwealth Heads of Government Summit and has been widely profiled in the global media. Garth Morris played hockey for EP u21 and graduated with NHD Mechanical Engineering from PE Technikon. He joined his father (also an Old Grey) and grandfather in the family engineering business. Garth is also co-owner of EP Plant Hire since 2006. He served on the Grey Junior School Governing Body from 2008 to 2017 (6 years as Chairman) and is currently the Treasurer of the Grey High School Governing Body. Garth has two daughters Andrea (26) and Taylor (23), and two sons, Jordan who is in Grade 10 and Alex who is in Grade 8.[/column] [/grid]

David Hurr is the current National President of the Old Greys’ Union, also has a seat on the Grey School Shop Board and is a current SGB member. David is a current director and part owner of Computing Services in Port Elizabeth, an outsourced payroll provider in South Africa. Dave is also a partner in a five star game reserve outside Grahamstown with an exclusive lodge hosting the big five. He is also very involved in the conservation arena breeding rare game. Dave became involved in the Grey community in 2005 and has been OGU President since 2014. “I never realised how important a school could be to me and really wanted to put something back as I have gained so much from being a Grey boy”. Dave is married to Beth who is a senior manager at Isuzu South Africa and they have two sons. Michael matriculated at the Grey in 2017 and Dale who is currently in Grade 10. He is very passionate about deep-sea fishing, most of which he does in the St Francis area.[/column] [/grid]

Vice President Old Greys’ Union and Old Grey Club Chairman
Gary Sim has an NQF Level 5 Financial Planning qualification and has been Director at RC Green & Co for the last 5 years. Established 35 years ago RC Green & Co is a well-established Short Term Insurance Brokerage which also offers services in Life Insurance and Investments. He is currently National Vice President of the Old Greys’ Union and has been responsible for the portfolio of the Old Grey Club for the past 10 years. [/column] [/grid]
