CONNECT: Old Grey Americas

US Newsletter, March 2024

The Grey Foundation Americas for the first time were able to host two well-attended meetings coinciding with the visits of the Rector and Grey Foundation Chairman, Andrew Bradley.

The dinner in New York drew Old Greys from the greater NYC area as well as Pennsylvania, Ohio, California, Massachusetts, Florida and Bahrein. Also in attendance was UK Board member, Leslie Bergman, the primary driver of The Grey Music and Arts Center (MAC), who eloquently shared the vision of and the path taken to this point for the MAC. You’ll be hearing more about this in the weeks to come.

The lunch in San Francisco was the first formal gathering of Old Greys drawn from both the Bay area and Los Angeles.

A primary goal for the Board of Trustees for the Grey Foundation Americas this year is CONNECTIVITY. We only have 370 Old Grey listed for US, Canada, South America and the Caribbean. We are certain this number is woefully underrepresented. Please help us to find more fellow OGs. If you know anyone who you think may not be connected, please ask them to contact us at

We will also be facilitating connectivity of OGs in clusters of metro areas in the US, Canada and the Caribbean. Please be on the lookout for these communications in the coming weeks. If anyone has any ideas on how to effectively reach out to Old Greys in our region, please let John Wannenburg, Chairman of the Board know –

OLD GREY LUNCHEON IN PALO ALTO

A stellar gathering of Old Greys was held at the Grand Bay Hotel in San Francisco to meet, greet and hear all the latest developments from the Tower. Delightful engagement by all with the visiting Grey High School Rector Chris Erasmus and The Grey Foundation Trust Chairman Andrew Bradley. We enjoyed an excellent selection of salads and a rather yummy range of white varietals. Wayne Jepson was on form from Redondo Beach, SoCal and kept the party going from 12 noon to 10pm when the last bottle of wine was tapped.
